Blue Jays Linked To Lefty Flamethrower Morejon

The Toronto Blue Jays are being connected to Padres left-hander Adrian Morejon, who is set to hit free agency for the first time in his career after a 2026 season of 76 games, a 2.83 ERA and 107 strikeouts. The fit is obvious: Toronto's lefty relievers posted a 4.53 ERA versus 3.26 from the right side, and Morejon's near-100 mph sinker would slot in front of Louis Varland and Tyler Rogers. Morejon, however, has said he wants to stay in San Diego.
