Red Wings Suspend Captain Dylan Larkin Without Pay Amid Trade Standoff

Detroit suspended Dylan Larkin without pay, costing him roughly $41,237 for every day he sits, after the former captain asked for a trade in June following a 10th straight playoff miss. Larkin's agent said plainly that his client has had enough of the situation, and the plan is reportedly for him not to play until he is moved. Detroit made an emergency call-up from Grand Rapids as the standoff drags on.
