Detroit Not Budging: Dreger Says No Futures-Driven Return
Despite speculation that the asking price must fall for a 30-year-old who cannot be scouted while sitting out, Darren Dreger reported Detroit does not appear interested in a futures-driven return and cannot afford to make a bad trade. Dreger reported the Red Wings want three or four pieces: two top prospects, a top-nine forward and a first round pick. Interim GM Shawn Horcoff said he is prepared to wait as long as necessary.
