Mavericks Pass On Lively Extension At Deadline
Dallas let the deadline to extend Dereck Lively II and Marcus Sasser pass without a deal, making Lively one of the top restricted free agents in the next offseason. The host backs the call, noting Lively has barely played 40 games across the past two seasons and is still recovering from right foot surgery, though he shot 72.5% from the field when healthy. As a restricted free agent, Dallas can match any offer sheet he signs.
