Giants Linked To Angels Lefty Reid Detmers On Trade Market

MLB Trade Rumors, cited by Matthew Cory, lists the Angels among teams with starting pitching to spare, and Reid Detmers is floated as an ideal fit for a Giants rotation that posted a 4.33 ERA in a 65-97 season. Detmers made all 32 starts in 2026 with a 3.36 ERA over 185 innings, 211 strikeouts and just 48 walks, and is under club control through 2028. The Twins reportedly went after him before the deadline and MLB Trade Rumors said their offer wasn't enough for the Angels to part with him.
