Astros Clinch Playoff Berth At .500 With 9-0 Win Over A's

The Houston Astros closed out the regular season with a 9-0 victory over the Oakland A's, finishing 81-81 and securing the No. 3 seed in the American League. Their .500 record makes them the first playoff team to finish at exactly .500, a feat that stands out given the injuries and pitching challenges they overcame. The win also prevented MLB from having its first losing team in the postseason.
