A's Call Up Joe Rock To Face Former Team In Tampa

The Oakland Athletics have called up left-hander Joe Rock, who will join the club in Tampa to face his former team, the Rays. Rock has bounced around the league this season, beginning the year with Tampa Bay before being traded to the White Sox and then claimed off waivers by the A's. The move gives Oakland a fresh arm as it continues to evaluate talent down the stretch.
