Jace Andrews breaks down the latest Red Sox news and rumors.

Craig Breslow and the Boston Red Sox are looking to make a MAJOR SPLASH this offseason, and two of MLB's most exciting young shortstops are being connected to Boston! Could the Red Sox pull off a blockbuster trade ahead of the 2027 MLB season?

On today's show, we're breaking down the latest Boston Red Sox news, Red Sox trade rumors, Jim Bowden's report, Elly De La Cruz trade speculation, CJ Abrams trade rumors, and what Boston could have to give up to land either superstar!

🔥 ELLY DE LA CRUZ TO THE RED SOX?!

The Boston Red Sox reportedly made a strong trade offer for Elly De La Cruz before the 2026 MLB trade deadline, but the Cincinnati Reds did not agree to a deal! Now Jim Bowden believes Boston could revisit a potential trade if Cincinnati makes its superstar shortstop available.

Elly De La Cruz 2026 stats:
âš¾ .283 Batting Average
âš¾ 30 Home Runs
âš¾ 79 RBI
âš¾ 30 Stolen Bases
âš¾ .880 OPS

Could Elly De La Cruz become the next superstar at Fenway Park? What would the Red Sox have to trade to acquire him? Could top prospect Franklin Arias headline a potential blockbuster trade package?

🚨 CJ ABRAMS TO BOSTON TRADE RUMORS!

Jim Bowden also expects the Boston Red Sox to continue contacting the Washington Nationals about a potential CJ Abrams trade! Abrams is coming off a massive 2026 season and could give Boston another impact bat in the lineup.

CJ Abrams 2026 stats:
âš¾ .261 Batting Average
âš¾ 33 Home Runs
âš¾ 106 RBI
âš¾ 34 Stolen Bases

Would CJ Abrams be a more realistic trade target than Elly De La Cruz? How much would Boston have to surrender to Washington? Would Abrams fit into Boston's long-term infield plans?
