Angels Decline Robert Stephenson's 2027 Club Option

The Angels have declined their club option on reliever Robert Stephenson for the 2027 season, cutting ties with a pitcher they signed to a three-year, $33 million deal before 2024. Stephenson's Angels tenure was derailed by injuries, yielding just 12 appearances and 10 innings with a 2.70 ERA and 10 strikeouts. The move closes out a costly investment that never had a chance to pay off for Los Angeles.
