Jays Finished Dead Last In Homers And Runs
Toronto hit 152 home runs in 2026, dead last in baseball and 74 behind Houston's MLB-leading 226, and scored only 7,648 runs, also last, missing the playoffs a year after Game 7 of the World Series. After Kazuma Okamoto's 33 homers, the next highest was George Springer with 15. Sato, who won the Central League Triple Crown with 39 homers and a .306 average, fits that hole in right field.
