Ajay Mitchell just proved he could be the Oklahoma City Thunder's BIGGEST X-FACTOR this season!

With Jalen Williams (JDub) and Cason Wallace sidelined by devastating injuries, the OKC Thunder desperately needed someone to step up. And in his first start of the season, Ajay Mitchell DELIVERED!

Mitchell exploded for a CAREER-HIGH 30 POINTS and 5 assists, shooting 10-of-16 from the field as Oklahoma City defeated the Phoenix Suns 125-114 to improve to 4-0!

With the Thunder dealing with a growing injury crisis, Ajay Mitchell suddenly has an opportunity to become one of the most important players on Oklahoma City's roster.

In today's episode of Thunder Digest, Ryan Breeden breaks down Mitchell's incredible performance against the Suns, his development into a legitimate NBA difference-maker, and why his emergence could completely change the outlook of OKC's 2026-27 season.

Can Ajay Mitchell replace some of Jalen Williams' offensive production? How will Mark Daigneault adjust his rotations? Can Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA), Chet Holmgren, and the Thunder continue winning despite their injuries?

We'll also discuss Oklahoma City's injury situation, the current Thunder depth chart, Jared McCain's growing role, and what Sam Presti's roster decisions mean for the defending NBA contenders.
