Thunder GM Sam Presti is already making moves just two games into the 2026-27 NBA season, adding an intriguing young defensive wing with actual NBA experience!

Micah Peavy, a former Georgetown standout and second-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, spent his rookie season with the New Orleans Pelicans before joining the Memphis Grizzlies. Now, the 6-foot-7 wing gets a fresh opportunity in Oklahoma City, where his defensive versatility, athleticism, and high motor could make him an excellent fit in Mark Daigneault's system.

In today's Thunder Digest episode, Ryan Breeden breaks down EVERYTHING surrounding the Thunder's decision to sign Micah Peavy and waive Otega Oweh.

What does Peavy bring to the OKC Thunder? Could he earn legitimate NBA minutes this season? How does this affect Oklahoma City's bench depth and two-way roster? And what's next for Otega Oweh as he recovers from his Achilles injury?

We'll discuss Peavy's NBA experience, his Georgetown basketball career, his defensive skill set, the Oklahoma City Blue, and what this roster move means for a Thunder team looking to compete for another NBA championship.
