Sharks Separate Celebrini And Smith, Get Shut Out
San Jose split up its 20-year-old star duo of Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith before Tuesday's puck drop, and the result was a 2-0 loss to Buffalo in which the Sharks managed just 23 shots to the Sabres' 40. Smith skated as a winger between Mason Marchment and Michael Misa rather than at his natural center position, a deployment the host calls 'spreading out your only shooter' rather than balance.
