$7 Million Man Walman Projected As Scratch As Babcock Sends Message
Jake Walman is projected to be a healthy scratch for the Edmonton Oilers just 12-13 games into a seven-year, $7 million-per-year deal, sitting at minus-7 with one point while averaging 14:44 of ice time. Walman has reportedly lost his second power-play spot and isn't trusted in overtime, with a newly acquired young defenseman instead elevated alongside Evan Bouchard when Mattias Ekholm went down.
