Bulls Open Season Short-Handed With Claxton Out
Chicago opens its season without Nicolas Claxton, who is out with a left hamstring strain, pushing longtime Raptors trade target Jaylon Tyson Smith into the starting center spot. Jordan Hawkins and Dylan Swain are doubtful with an illness, while Toronto is only missing Nate Bidd. The absences hit a Bulls frontcourt that already gave up 54.1 points per game in the paint last season, 27th in the league.
