Speculation Swirls Trea Turner Could Move Off Shortstop
Trea Turner posted minus 11 outs above average at shortstop in 2026, his worst year at the position, prompting speculation the Phillies might ask him to move to the outfield. It remains unclear whether they will pursue that as a way to improve the roster. Dickerson had worked hard to help Turner's defense, which had climbed to plus 17 outs above average in 2025 before collapsing last season.
