Rays Red Sox Rumor

Red Sox Linked To Nick Martinez As Rotation Option

The Boston Red Sox are reportedly considering Nick Martinez as a potential addition to their starting rotation, according to a new report. Martinez is coming off a career year with the Tampa Bay Rays, posting a 3.10 ERA and 1.09 WHIP over 180 innings, and is expected to test free agency with a mutual option for 2026. The Red Sox may be willing to pay him to bolster their rotation, especially with Sonny Gray likely departing.
