Brewers Sweep Dodgers, Reach First World Series Since 1982

Milwaukee completed a four-game sweep of the Dodgers in the NLCS, returning to the Fall Classic for the first time since 1982, a 44-year wait. Per Opta Stats, the Brewers are the first MLB, NBA or NHL team to sweep a best-of-seven series against a team that swept them in a best-of-seven in the previous postseason. The Brewers have lost only one playoff game this October and are 5-1 when conceding the first run of a game.
