Giants Reportedly Considering Josh Hader As Possible Closer Upgrade

The San Francisco Giants are reportedly considering Houston Astros closer Josh Hader as a possible target this offseason, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Hader, who posted a 1.01 ERA with 55 strikeouts in 45 games last season, is a ninth-inning arm who could potentially be acquired more easily than Mason Miller. The Astros, coming off a wild-card sweep, may look to shake up their roster, making Hader a name to watch.
