Preston Mattingly Declined Athletics Interview For President Role

Phillies general manager Preston Mattingly rejected an invitation from the Athletics to interview for their president of baseball operations position, according to a report from Bob Nightengale. The host notes this is the first time he had seen that report, and it highlights the father-son duo now in the Phillies front office with Don Mattingly as manager. The decision to stay in Philadelphia suggests a commitment to the organization's current direction.
