Kucherov Requests Trade From Tampa Bay

Nikita Kucherov requested a trade from Tampa Bay on Friday, roughly 48 hours after Detroit suspended Larkin. Kucherov posted 130 points in 76 games last season and won the Hart Trophy, and ESPN reports contract talks are far apart with him expected to seek more than double his $9.5 million cap hit. GM Julien BriseBois said plainly the club has no intention of trading him.
