Larkin Suspended Without Pay After Telling Red Wings He Won't Play Again
Dylan Larkin informed the Detroit Red Wings he will not play again until he is traded, and Detroit responded by suspending him without pay at a cost of roughly $41,000 per day. The standoff comes 147 days after his trade request was first reported on June 4th, a stretch in which Detroit lost its general manager and Larkin lost the captaincy. The 30-year-old center has five seasons left on an $8.7 million cap hit.
