Rangers Urged to Consider John Gibson as Rental Fix in Net
With Shesterkin sidelined, the host argues the Rangers should call Detroit about pending UFA John Gibson, whose $6.4 million deal expires this summer and whose down year (3-5, .867 SV%) could make him cheap to acquire. Detroit's crease is crowding with Trey Augustine, Michal Postava and Daniil Tarasov, and Red Wings fans are reportedly pushing for a Gibson trade. No deal is in place, and the host concedes the move 'does scream kind of like a panic move.'
