Falcons Beat 49ers 29-20 on Four Takeaways, Zero Giveaways
Atlanta forced four turnovers and gave away none in a 29-20 win over San Francisco, sealed by rookie Kendal Daniels's two late takeaways.
Just one play later, Atlanta's defense responded. Maason Smith forced a fumble on 49ers rusher Kaelon Black, which was promptly recovered by Falcons interior lineman Gervon Dexter Sr. at the 29-yard line. Nick Folk kicked a 33-yard field goal just before the break, sending the Falcons into the locker room trailing 14-12.
The Falcons finally broke through the 49ers' defense in the third quarter, earning a 19-14 advantage. Brock Purdy began driving the 49ers downfield to answer until star safety Jessie Bates III intercepted Purdy throwaway pass at the Atlanta 10-yard line.

The 49ers would pull within one score at 26-20 with 5:09 remaining in the game. After the Falcons inability to execute on offense, the 49ers received the ball back. Purdy threw over the middle and was intercepted by rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels. Daniels returned the pick all the way to the San Francisco 19-yard line with just 2:42 left on the clock.

Less than a minute left on the clock and the 49ers scrambling, the ball was funneled to safety-valve tight end George Kittle. As he fought for extra yardage, a violent punch from safety Jessie Bates dislodged the football. Rookie Kendal Daniels pounced on the roaming football, securing his second major takeaway of the day icing the game.
San Francisco falls to 6 - 1, and hasn't defeated the Falcons in Atlanta since 2001. The Falcons improve to 3 - 4, winning their first home game of the year and a Division matchup ahead of them.
