No. 1 Pick AJ Dybantsa To Miss Wizards Opener With Ankle Sprain
The top overall pick went down with a left ankle sprain Friday night in New Orleans and will sit Wednesday's opener against Milwaukee, with Friday at home versus Toronto the earliest possible debut. Brian Keefe initially called it a mild, day-to-day sprain and pulled him as a precaution. Dybantsa averaged 12 points and 1.5 steals across four preseason games, including 11 points at Madison Square Garden and 14 against Detroit.
