Kawhi Leonard Set To End 2,752-Day Raptors Drought
Kawhi Leonard is set to play his first regular season game in a Raptors jersey in 2,752 days when Toronto opens at home against the Chicago Bulls. The Raptors acquired him from the Los Angeles Clippers in a deal agreed June 30 that was delayed by a league investigation into his Clippers contract before going through September 14. Leonard averaged 27.9 points and 1.9 steals last season at age 34, and the Raptors are expected to manage his minutes near 30 rather than 40-plus in October.
