Insider Marc Stein has reported that Ty Jerome is bound to draw trade calls before this year's deadline, as Memphis focuses on building around its young trio of Cam Boozer, Zach Edey, and Cedric Coward. Jerome has been scorching to open the year, dropping a career-high 45 points on opening night against Utah and topping 100 points across his first three games on better than 55% shooting. His bargain contract, $9.2 million this season with a $9.7 million player option for next year, only adds to the appeal.
