Jays Linked to Seiya Suzuki as Winter Clock Ticks

Ken Rosenthal said that Seiya Suzuki, coming off a career year, would fit right into Toronto and speculated the Blue Jays will be one of the teams heavily involved, while Ben Nicholson-Smith's reporting has the club zeroing in on him. Suzuki posted a .269 average, .351 on-base percentage and 128 wRC+, and his .368 OBP last season dwarfed Toronto's .310 team mark. Jim Bowden projects a five-year, $120 million deal and names the Phillies as the main competition.
