Astros Decline Ryan Weiss' 2027 Club Option
The Houston Astros have declined Ryan Weiss' club option for the 2027 season, sending the right-hander to free agency. Weiss struggled in his 2026 stint with Houston, posting a 7.62 ERA and a 2.12 WHIP across 26.0 innings in nine appearances, including two starts. He did show swing-and-miss ability with 30 strikeouts, but the overall results were not enough to keep him in the organization's plans.
