🚨 PADRES RUMOR! Today, Andrew McFarland breaks down three left field names that have been floated for the San Diego Padres this offseason: Steven Kwan, Riley Greene and Jarren Duran. Only Kwan is tied to a named report. FanSided's Robert Murray wrote that the Guardians could move him this winter, and a tweet citing that report listed the Padres and Cubs as potential suitors. Greene and Duran are fan and media speculation, not reported targets. Nothing here is official.

Padres Digest breaks down the stats, the Baseball Savant percentiles and the contract situations for Kwan, Greene and Duran, and asks which of the three the Padres could realistically land.

🧢 STEVEN KWAN
Murray also reported the Padres showed strong interest in Kwan at the 2025 trade deadline. Kwan is in his final year of arbitration in 2027 and a free agent after that season, with MLB Trade Rumors projecting about $11.3M. We go through his 2026 line (.282/.382/.349) and his Savant percentiles.
Would the Padres trade for Steven Kwan? What would Cleveland want? How does Kwan fit in Padres left field?

🧢 RILEY GREENE
Greene is a Tigers outfielder who has been floated as a left field fit. No report has tied him to the Padres, so this is speculation. We look at his 2026 line (.280/.370/.474, 21 HR), his Savant percentiles and his contract control through 2028.
Would the Tigers trade Riley Greene? What would it cost the Padres? Is Riley Greene a realistic Padres trade target?

🧢 JARREN DURAN
A Padres Nation tweet called Duran one of AJ Preller's guys. That is an opinion, not a report. We break down his 2026 line (.207/.266/.361, 20 HR, 21 SB) and his Savant percentiles, which include a 95th percentile baserunning run value and a 1st percentile batting run value.
Is Jarren Duran a Padres trade target? Would the Red Sox move Duran? What would a Duran trade look like?

🧢 WHO CAN THE PADRES REALISTICALLY LAND?
Which of the three fits the Padres' payroll, prospect depth and left field need, and which is the harder trade to pull off. Vote in the poll.
