ELLY DE LA CRUZ TO THE DODGERS?! MLB insider and former general manager Jim Bowden believes a BLOCKBUSTER TRADE sending Cincinnati Reds superstar Elly De La Cruz to the Los Angeles Dodgers makes COMPLETE SENSE! Could Andrew Friedman and the Dodgers pull off one of the BIGGEST trades in baseball? Jace Andrews breaks down the latest Dodgers news and rumors.

On today's Dodgers Digest, we're breaking down Jim Bowden's latest comments on the Elly De La Cruz trade rumors, why Cincinnati could consider moving its superstar shortstop, and why Los Angeles might be the PERFECT destination!

JIM BOWDEN DROPS HUGE DODGERS TRADE COMMENTS!

Appearing on the D-Mac and Reiter Show, Bowden explained why the Cincinnati Reds could seriously consider trading Elly De La Cruz this offseason rather than waiting until he gets closer to MLB free agency.

The Reds have previously tried to sign De La Cruz to a massive long-term contract, but a deal has not been reached. With Scott Boras representing the young superstar, could Cincinnati decide to cash in on his trade value and build around a massive collection of prospects?

Bowden believes the Dodgers need to start thinking about their NEXT YOUNG SUPERSTAR, and Elly De La Cruz could be the answer!

ELLY DE LA CRUZ TO LOS ANGELES?

At just 24 years old, Elly De La Cruz is already one of MLB's most exciting players, combining incredible speed, power, athleticism and elite defensive tools.

In 2026, De La Cruz hit .283 with a .365 on-base percentage and .515 slugging percentage while stealing 30 bases!

Could he become the next superstar alongside Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith and the rest of the Dodgers lineup?

And what would happen to Mookie Betts at shortstop if the Dodgers acquired Elly De La Cruz?

WHAT WOULD THE DODGERS HAVE TO TRADE?

Acquiring Elly De La Cruz would require a MASSIVE prospect package! Could top Dodgers prospects like Josue De Paula, Mike Sirota or other young players become part of a blockbuster deal with Cincinnati?

We're discussing the price of acquiring De La Cruz, the Dodgers' farm system, Andrew Friedman's trade strategy and whether Los Angeles should be willing to sacrifice some of its future talent to land another franchise-changing superstar.
